Our Mission
As stewards of the historic Carnegie Library Building and the Clarence Ruth Collection of Native American artifacts, the mission of the Lompoc Museum is to preserve, display, and interpret the cultural history of the Lompoc Valley while offering unique educational experiences.
- The 1910 Carnegie building houses permanent and rotating exhibits.
- The 1876 Artesia one-room country school with period furniture and displays recreates educational experiences of the earliest Lompoc Valley children.
- Stone Pine Hall provides a venue for cultural programs and community meetings.
Our Funding
The Lompoc Museum is funded through grants, memberships, and donations. An annual grant from the City of Lompoc supports the care and display of the city-owned Clarence Ruth Collection. Other daily operations are funded through memberships and small donations. Special projects are dependent on foundation grants and large donations. Read about our future plans.
